Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the State of Israel Edminas Bagdonas has awarded Mr. Abel Levitt and Mrs. Glenda Levitt with the Medal of Honor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs “Lithuanian Diplomacy Star”. The award was presented for fostering relations between the Republic of Lithuania and the State of Israel and commemoration of historical memory.
Glenda and Abel Levitt have been actively involved in various activities in Lithuania and Israel since 2001, fostering the heritage of the Lithuanian Jews, and founders of Birzai Jewish Culture and History Society. Their latest project – commemoration of Jewish killing sites in Biržai district.
